UIA Student Design Competition

Exciting news for students!

We are delighted to announce that the International Union of Architects (UIA), in collaboration with the NOVELL Redesign team, has launched a student design competition that is titled “Next Generation of Stroke Rehabilitation Centres.” This competition is sponsored by UIA and the Australian Health Design Council.

The goal of this competition is to think out of the box and come up with new and ambitious ideas for designing stroke rehabilitation centres. Also, entries should address the aspects of design highlighted in the work of the NOVELL Redesign project, such as how to increase stroke survivors' control over their personal space in rehab or to improve stroke survivors' integration with the community and the real world. You can read more about them in the competition brief.

The competition is open to architecture students all over the world. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged, and students from other disciplines are also welcomed. Please check the eligibility criteria for registration here. Registration is free! The deadline for registration is on 15th March 2023, and the deadline for submission is on 15th April 2023.
